TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ENTRY VIDEO- Your video submission will be judged by independent judges whose decision is final.
- The judges who will evaluate your video submission are different from those who will judge you in the live finals.
- Entry video lengths from 1.5 to 2 minutes maximum (if the video is longer - the judge will stop watching it after 2 minutes!)
- It can be the same routine as in the final or a different one.
- Entrants may send a previous performance.
- Videos should be filmed as one continuous piece (exception: stage performance).
- Camera movement is prohibited (exception: stage performance).
- Applicants must be visible throughout the routine.
- The video must not be older than 3 years.
- Name your video link: Fusion 2025 Entry, Full Name, Division, Category.
- Upload your video to YouTube (NOT private).
- Video entries will be judged on:
- Stage Presence (Emotions) (0-10 points)
- Choreography (0-10 points)
- Musicality (0-10 points)
- Originality (0-10 points)
- Tricks on the Pole (0-10 points)
- Flexibility (0-10 points)
- Transitions(Art)/ Floorwork (Exotic) (0-10 points)
- Clean Execution (0-10 points)
- Overall (0-10 points)
- When submitting your application:
- You can request a detailed feedback & scores of your video from one of the judges. This option is available only if you submit your application by December 31, 2024. The feedback and results will be sent to you via email on January 22, 2025. (This option is not available for the categories - STARS and PERFORMANCE)
- You can request your ranking. Please note that you will receive a table with the names and results of ALL participants. Other participants will also be able to see your name and your scores! If you decline (by selecting "No" on the application), no one will see your name. In this case, you will not receive your scores, but you can choose the 1. option (above) to receive your scores separately!
- If you are unsure which category to apply for, please contact the organizer - olga.biserova@scorpions.lv. Exceptions can be made if organizer decides that participant is more suited to another category (this is possible only before you have submitted your application). If the rules are violated, we do not transfer to another category ! The participant will be disqualified!
- The deadline to send your video to us is midnight on 12.01.25 (GMT+2)
- Entry Fee (for one video) - €25. Can be paid: by PayPal using this email address: scorpionspole@icloud.com (adding the PayPal fee - 3 euro or send for "Friends & Family").
- 22.01.25 - organizers will send results via email.
LIVE FINAL- The competition is open to contestants of all nationalities and countries.
- ALL competitors must be aged 18yrs+.
- Contestant needs to have valid id document (Passport, etc.)
- If you qualify for the Finals you agree to perform live and to pay participation fee:
SOLO - 100 euroDUET - 150 euroGROUP - 175 euro for 3 participants (25 euro for each additional participant) .Participation fee - Non-refundable!- Before announcing results for Live Final, organizing committee will send out results and contact each participating individually via email.
- After receiving email that contestants has qualified for live final, the participation fee 100 EUR shall become due within 2 days after the participant has received the confirmation via E-mail.
- The process of registration is only completed after you confirmed your participation with payment. Only those who have registered for competition will be announced as finalists.
- If you become a finalist but, due to any circumstances, are unable to attend, you must inform us at least one week before the Live Finals! Otherwise, you will not be allowed to participate in our championship for two years.
- Human props are allowed (ticket purchase is required).
- Competitors must ensure they have warmed up and stretched properly prior to performing.
- Competitors must not consume alcohol or any prohibited substance prior to performing.
- Competitors must advise the Organizer if there will be a clean up required after their performance, and must gain Organizer approval.
- Judges can stop the performance at any time if they think the contestant is at health risk or is having safety problems, or if the contestant doesn't obey the rules.
- The performance can be repeated if: the contestant/s during the first half of his/her performance stopped presentation, because of technical problems not caused by him/her.
- Jury takes the final decision regarding the repetition of the presentation and the Jury's decision cannot be revoked.
- Before the Competition and during the Competition it is not allowed for contestants to remain in any contact with Members of Jury, DJ and Lighting Team.
- It is forbidden to depict political events and situations through choreography , use national flags, encourage political and religious views, promote violence or racist views, promote prohibited substances, slander someone, promote any product.
- You understand and give permission for FPC to video you and take pictures of you throughout the competition and give us your consent to use any videos or images for future marketing purposes.
- FPC does not take responsibility for copyright issues and whatever claims against the video are made will be passed on to the applicant.
- Organizers don't take responsibility for the loss of things of the contestants on the day of the competition.
- FPC reserve the right to make changes to the rules, regulations and terms of the competition. Competitors will be notified of these changes.
MUSICThe music and the performance for Live Final must be:
Newbae: from 2:30 - 3:00
Amateur: from 02:30 - 3:00
Semi-Pro: from 02:30 - 3:30
Professional: from 03:00 - 04:00
Stars: from 03:00 - 04:00
Duets: from 03:00 - 04:00
Men: from 03:00 - 04:00
Performance: from 02:30 - 04:00 minutes long .
Music choices will be based on a first come first served basis.
COSTUME- Nudity is not permitted. Showing intimate body parts will immediately disqualify the contestant.
- During the performances it is not allowed to take off any clothes if by taking off contestant will show any form of not suitable nudity. It is however allowed to take off parts of costume such as: skirt, coat, mask, jacket if after taking them off the contestant will remain dressed. Please inform us prior to your performance. These must be removed from stage after your performance.
- Men can be topless.
- Costumes and props shouldn't bother the performance.
- All makeup and body paint is allowed as long as it doesn't make dirty other performers, the performance area and the poles.
- Not allowed to use liquids, fire, needles, etc.
- Outfits must not display logos or any other form of advertising.
- Not allowed to use any king of body balms or lotions that can destroy the equipment or can make the poles slippery for other contestants' use.
- The competitor will have the option of cleaning their own pole prior to their performance, although pole cleaners will be available.
- The following products are acceptable in order to have stronger grip: Dry Hands, Mighty Grip, Talc, Itac 2, Chalk, etc. However these are not to be applied directly onto the poles!
*we understand that some participants require special grip, so exceptions may be possible, provided you notify the organizer in advanced (no later than one month before the finals).STAGING AREAThere will be 2 X-poles in the Finals (static and spinning), diameter 45mm, height 4m. Distance between poles 3m. If facing towards the stage, the left pole is static (can not be changed).
